This letter is to express my interest in bringing my 30 years of expertise in E/I project management and superintendent/supervisor role to an important Company as yours. As my enclosed resume indicates my background includes: 1. Electrical engineering studies, able to speak Italian and English; 2. More than thirty years of service at an alumina refinery with significant experience in: • Planning and scheduling maintenance activities in the Electrical Distribution Network (from low to high voltage); • Updating of maintenance specifications of electrical and instrumentation equipment • Design of new electrical (from low to high voltage) and instrumentation systems; • Analysis of fault regarding electrical and instrumentation equipment and preparation detailed report with proposed solutions; • Modification of existing electrical and instrumentation systems to improve performance from the point of view economic (better efficiency, reduced electricity consumption, better control of automation of the system, better ergonomic, etc.); • Arrangement of Requests for Investment and preparation of budget; • Arrangement of technical documentation (Service and Material Requirements Specification) for request of offer to external supplier (in cooperation with Procurement Department). To prepare this documentation I manage external Engineering Contractor • Execution of approved (by Management Board) projects, managing external contractors • Execution of periodic checks on electrical equipment requested by law (earthing, surge protection system, etc.); • Economical and technical Management of Power Supply Contract of the plant requesting the offer to potential suppliers on based of plant requirements; • Preparation of Safety meeting of the Section in accordance with Safety Department regarding last recommendations by Italian and International legislation. Analysis of every kind of incident and near miss happened both Eurallumina (Italy) and QAL (Australia) plants; • Representative of Eurallumina S.p.A. (Rusal United Company) in Energy Commission of Association of Sardinian Industries; • Technical member of ETG (Electrical Task Group) that manages massif investments of Electrical infrastructure (Power Supply System Strategic Plan) in the one of the world largest Alumina plants in Australia (QAL). Be present to different technical meetings (with managers, engineers and contractors) giving indication to follow. Preparation of technical and economic report to representative of Stakeholder giving my indication to follow; • Management of relationship with Insurance company regarding electrical issues; • Design of renewable energy systems (wind and photovoltaic) and preparation of feasibility studies for industry; • Manage corrective intervention and new installation equipment with the coordination of internal/subcontractor personnel; • Electrical and instrumentation engineering supervisor for plants restart of Windalco (Ewarton Works, Kirkvine Works and Alpart) in Jamaica and for the Friguia plant in Guinea. Over the years in this refinery I was able to mature my professional experience with courses, conferences, visits to other company plants (Ireland, Australia, Jamaica) exchanging know how. With these experiences I gained the knowledge necessary to manage the department of central maintenance and design engineering, section electrical and instrumentation.
